Installation & Setup
Given the specialized nature of this extension, its distribution is currently restricted to a select group of authorized users. As such, it is not readily available for download through the public Firefox Add-ons Store.

(1) After downloading the extension, open firefox and navigate to about:addons Akubo IT Autofill installer

You can also drag the installer to an open firefox browser window.
(2.1) Firefox will then prompt the user to add the extension. Click 'Add'.

(2.2) You have successfully added Akubo IT Autofill to firefox. Firefox will also prompt you if you want to enable the extension in Private Windows.

(3.1) Once installed, the Autofill icon will appear in the upper right corner of your web
browser window. On first install, a permission prompt will show, complete the steps provided.

(3.2) Akubo IT Autofill should be enabled on all sites. To confirm, navigate to the
extensions options screen. Find 'Optional permissions for added functionality'. Site access should be enabled "On all sites" and "app.akuboit.com".

Both site access permissions are important for the extension to work. Without those, the extension will just show the prompt.
(4) Once all the permissions are enabled, You can now use Akubo IT Autofill!
Just Login using your existing Akubo IT Account and let autofill do the work.
Usage
(1) Experience the joy of effortless form completion! Simply log in with your existing
Akubo IT account and unleash the power of autofill.

Akubo IT Autofill for firefox has a slight design tweak, rest assured, other browsers will get this design update.
Once done, Akubo It Autofill will stay logged in between sessions,
except if manually logging out.
(2) After logging in, you will be taken to the home screen. The Autofill feature is
automatically enabled on your next site visit.

(3) Let's try it out! Visit a login page and you can see the autofill icon in the form.
Keep in mind, you must already have created an active password record for this site
containing the website address (URL) for Akubo IT Autofill to recognize, match and fill your

How Autofill works & Understanding Record Matching
Autofill only works on self created password records. We plan to explore autofill for shared records in the future.
To ensure a seamless and secure login experience, we carefully match the URL of the
website you're visiting with the saved URL in your password record. This process
guarantees that your credentials are automatically filled only when you're on the
correct website.
Here's how Akubo IT Autofill works:
Login Form Detection: Our extension intelligently scans the
website's structure to identify the presence of a login form. This crucial step
ensures that autofill is only activated when necessary. If it is indeed a login
website, we proceed to the next step.
Domain Matching:
To deliver a precise and efficient autofill experience, we carefully curate a list
of potential matches by evaluating the URLs stored within your password records.
Once this list is assembled, a series of logical steps guide us in determining which
records are presented for selection and which one is prominently displayed as the
default choice.
Exact Match Priority: If an exact match is found, we
confidently display your saved credentials, ready for use. This precision
eliminates any doubt about the website's authenticity.Partial Match Priority: In cases where URLs exhibit strong
similarities but aren't identical (e.g. google subdomains), we intelligently
bridge the gap, adding the record to the list.No Matches: If no matching record is found, autofill will
not be available.
Autofill: If it has passed login form detection and a list is
generated, the extension will automatically autofill the login fields. The autofill
extension icon will be visible on the username/email field to indicate that it has
autofilled your credentials.
For multiple accounts, simply click the username/email field (or the
autofill icon on the field) and a dropdown of matched accounts will be
displayed. You can then select an account to use.
For the best record match, make sure that the "URL" field in
the password record matches the domain and path as close as possible to the target
site.
